The hair on Samson's head represented the glory of God in his life. When the hair was cut, the glory departed. The Bible goes on to talk about hair being the glory of a woman etc. But that's not we are looking at now. Samson had been told never to cut his hair, (Jdg 16:17) it was to grow continuously. So also our worship to God is to be continuous, when you cut off your worship to God, the Glory of the Lord begins to depart out of your life, and as Samson, he never knew the glory had departed. Many times when we begin to have a strained relationship with God, we do not realize when the glory departs, and just as Samson, in the midst of adversity, we rise up and think that , 'I will go out as at other times', 'I will bind, loose, minister etc, as at other times', (Jdg6 16:20) but the glory has departed, and when God's glory departs there is destruction, just as Samson was captured and his ministry destroyed,so it happens to Christians, and it appears that God is not there. Has the glory of God departed from your life? Has your relationship with God been strained? Has your "hair been cut?' Like Samson whose hair was cut by Delilah, sometimes our own 'hair' representing the crown of glory, is cut by others. Distractions, wrong associations, temptations, wrong living, etc, they are all worship terminators.
Well, there is still hope, because God is a God of second chance. Just as he gave Samson a second chance, and his hair grew again, so also God will give us a second chance to grow our 'hair' our worship life, our relationship with Him. God will restore us again if only we come to him, and ask for His mercy. And when He restores us, it will be with a greater grace than before, just as Samson killed more Philistines after his restoration, so also God will use us to achieve much more!
