You Can Win By Righteousness! (Josh 7:1)

Ever had a temptation stare you in the face? I did this morning, and it looked re-ally good, everyone does it and I stood to gain some extra bucks at the same time, a looooooot of extra bucks, it was even "official" and I could use the money for the gospel and pay my tithes......the devil gave me all the right reasons to go ahead......... BUT IT WAS NOT RIGHT! I remembered what Pastor always said, 'you can win by righteousness', now was the time to put my actions where my mouth was! I may not get the extra cash, but I would maintain my integrity. I took a decision to STAND and do what was right! (Wasn't easy though). Later I read this passage, unfortunately for Achan, he decided to take the money instead and what was his end? God fished him out, just as he would have fished me out if I had made that mistake, (thank God), Achan's sin in taking the accursed thing against God's will put the whole tribe of Israel in jeopardy, and it was not until Achan was destroyed that they could move on. Sin destroys us, it takes us out of God's presence, why compromise your faith, whatever you compromise to gain, you will eventually loose, and also loose a lot more along side. You may not be rich, you may not be famous, but you will have God's peace and a good name. YOU CAN WIN BY RIGHTEOUSNESS!
