The Scarlet Thread Part 2 (Joshua 2: 1-24)

Somehow, all of us were “Rahabs” in our own ways. We were all prostitutes, we worshipped other Gods, the God of self, money and material things, pride, lust, etc, but God gave us a scarlet thread in Jesus Christ making a way for us to be saved even as Rahab was saved. The question I want to ask now is Where is you scarlet thread? Has it changed colour, or has it been misplaced, or have you used it for other things such that it has become too short? If Rahab had misplaced the scarlet thread or if for one reason or the other she did not hang it in the window she would not have been saved. For some of us, we need to retrieve our scarlet threads, wash them and restore them to the original state, but there is good news, God is the God of a second chance, not just second, but third, fourth, fifth.....He is available to restore every thread of hope that may have been lost, and every scarlet thread that may have deteriorated. That thread cannot have been a tiny thread because the soldiers wouldn’t have seen it if it was too small, but I think it was as thick as a rope, the scarlet thread is the rope that will pull you out of whatever mess or deep situation you may be in right now. Hold on to your scarlet thread!
